Privacy policy
- Applies to
- ergonomc.com
- From
- Ergonomc LLC
- Effective
- October 15, 2026
This policy covers ergonomc.com, the website of Ergonomc LLC ("Ergonomc", "we", "us"). It explains what the site collects, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do.
The short version
- No advertising pixels. Google Analytics sets two cookies to tell visits apart. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set one security cookie when it checks for automated traffic.
- We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. It doesn't run on the pages for Copperplate, our dictation keyboard, or on the intake security page, and it doesn't load if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
- The contact form sends us what you type, plus the address of the form page and of the page before it. It reaches us as an email. Our form handler keeps no copy.
- A bot check runs on the contact form. Cloudflare Turnstile looks at your browser, not at what you type.
- Through ergonomc.com, we don't sell personal information or use it for advertising. Writing to us doesn't put you on a mailing list.
- Please keep client names and case details out of forms and emails. We aren't a law firm, and a message to us isn't a confidential communication with a lawyer.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion at support@ergonomc.com.
Our software has its own pages. For Ghost Intake, our intake software, see Where intake data lives. For Copperplate, see What leaves the phone and the app's own privacy policy (opens smfahim.com).
Who we are
Ergonomc LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. It runs ergonomc.com and operates Lawyer SEO Expert, Legal CMO Expert and WP SEO Geeks. Inquiries about any of them sent through this site are handled under this policy. Our address and phone number are in section 11.
What this policy doesn't cover
The websites of our marketing services: lawyerseoexpert.com , legalcmoexpert.com and wpseogeeks.com . They run their own analytics and other tools, and each has its own privacy policy.
Copperplate, our dictation keyboard for Android. Its privacy policy (opens smfahim.com) covers the app's audio, text and account information.
Ghost Intake, our intake software. It collects inquiries for the law firm that uses it, and that firm's privacy policy applies to them.
Work for clients. Information we handle for a client, such as access to its website or ad accounts, is governed by our engagement with that client.
Other companies' websites and tools, including Calendly's scheduler on our booking page (section 5).
What we collect
When you visit
| What | Collected by | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Request data: IP address, page requested, time, referring page, and browser and device type. | Cloudflare, which hosts the site. | To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. |
| Usage data: pages viewed, how you arrived, scrolling, clicks on links that leave the site, when a form is started or sent and when a call is booked (never what you type in either), browser, device and screen size, approximate location (city or country), and a random ID kept in a cookie. | Google Analytics, a Google service. | To see which pages people use and which bring inquiries. |
Google Analytics tells browsers apart by that random ID, not by name. It works out the location from your IP address and doesn't store the address. We read its reports and don't combine them with anything you send us. It doesn't run on any page under /software/dictation/ or on /software/intake/security/. Those pages load no outside scripts at all.
When you use the contact form
Our one form is on the contact page. It asks for:
- what you need, chosen from a list
- your name
- your work email
- your firm or company name, which is optional for some choices
- a phone number, if you'd like a call back
- a message, if you write one
It also sends the address of the page with the form and, if your browser shares it, the page you were on before. Only the page address is kept, without any codes a link adds after it.
Bot checks. On the contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser for signs of automation. It uses technical signals, such as your IP address and browser details, and doesn't read what you type. The form also has a hidden field that only bots fill out. A limit on how many messages one connection can send in a minute stops floods. It counts a one-way code made from your IP address, never the address itself.
Delivery. Our form handler runs on Cloudflare. It emails your submission to our business inbox and saves no copy of its own. Its own logs record what happened to each submission and its topic, never your name, contact details, message or IP address. Cloudflare keeps a delivery record of each email the form sends, such as who it went to and when (section 6).
Copperplate access requests. If you ask for access, we keep your request to set up and manage that access. Once it's set up, the app's privacy policy covers your account information.
When you email, call or book a call
We receive what you send us, plus what your email or phone provider passes on, such as your address or number. When you book a call, you do it in Calendly's scheduler, and what you enter there goes to Calendly, under Calendly's privacy policy (section 5).
What we don't collect
No session recordings or heatmaps, and no fonts, videos or maps loaded from other companies.
No contact lists bought from anyone, and no lookups through data brokers.
No sensitive information on purpose. We don't ask for health information, ID numbers or the facts of anyone's case.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site: _ga, and _ga_ followed by our property's code. They hold the random ID from section 2, so a return visit can be told from a new one, and they last up to two years. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics runs without cookies.
Turning it off. Google Analytics doesn't load if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also block it with Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com ) or with your browser's tracking protection. The site works the same without it.
When you send the form, your browser's session storage keeps the page you started from. The thank-you page reads it for its back link, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie, such as __cf_bm, when it checks whether traffic is automated. It's used for security only, never for analytics or advertising.
You can check this. Your browser's developer tools list the cookies a page sets and every outside address it contacts.
Do Not Track. This site doesn't follow you across other websites, and no other company collects that kind of information through it. Pages work the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
How we use it
We use what we collect to:
- reply to you, arrange a call or demo, or give you access to a product you asked about
- pass your message to the part of Ergonomc that handles it
- set up and manage Copperplate access you requested
- see which pages bring inquiries
- keep the site working and block spam and abuse
- keep the records that tax and accounting law requires
- protect our legal rights if we need to
We don't use it for advertising or profiling, or to make automated decisions about you. If you become a client, our engagement terms cover what you give us for the work.
Who else handles it
These companies run parts of the site and our business for us, under their terms with us.
| Company | What it does for us | What it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts and protects the site, runs the bot check and sends the emails our form produces. | Request data, bot-check signals and form submissions. |
| Runs Google Analytics, which reports how the site is used. Google signals and advertising features are off, so the data isn't used for ads. | The usage data in section 2 and the cookie ID in section 3. | |
| Our business email provider | Holds the support@ergonomc.com mailbox. | Your messages and our replies. |
| Calendly | Runs the scheduler on our booking page. | What you enter when you book a call. |
Our booking page shows Calendly's scheduler in a frame. When that page opens, your browser connects to Calendly, which receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies. No other page on our site loads Calendly. If you'd like to know which company holds our mailbox, ask and we'll tell you.
We disclose personal information to anyone else only:
- to professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, who must keep it confidential
- when the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order
- to protect the safety, rights or property of our visitors, our clients or us
- to a buyer or successor of our business, which must protect it at least as well as this policy does
Where it's processed
Cloudflare serves the site from data centers around the world. Our providers may store information in the United States and other countries. The people who read your message may work outside the United States. This policy applies wherever your information is handled.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Messages that don't lead to work | 24 months after our last contact with you. Then we delete them. |
| Copperplate access requests | Once access is set up, as the app's policy says. Otherwise, as for other messages. |
| Client records | For the engagement, then as long as our agreement or tax and accounting law requires. |
| Request data | Kept by Cloudflare under its privacy policy (cloudflare.com ). Our form handler's own logs don't identify you. |
| Email delivery records | Kept by Cloudflare for up to 30 days: sender, recipient, subject, time and delivery result. Cloudflare keeps no copy of the message. |
| Usage data | Data tied to a cookie ID: 14 months in Google Analytics, then Google deletes it. Totals in reports, such as page views per month, can be kept longer. |
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
How we protect it
Pages are served only over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Form submissions go only to business mailboxes we control, never to personal accounts.
Our email, Cloudflare, Calendly and domain accounts use multi-factor sign-in, and only the people who need access have it.
We collect only the fields listed in section 2.
Email passes through several companies' systems on its way to us. That's why we ask you not to send confidential client information.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we have it and who we've disclosed it to
- give you a copy in a portable format
- correct it
- delete it
- stop contacting you
Some US state privacy laws give these rights, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and some profiling. We do none of those through this site, and you can ask us to confirm it. We honor these requests from anyone, whether or not a law requires us to.
How to ask. Email support@ergonomc.com and say what you'd like us to do. We respond within 45 days. If we need longer, we'll tell you why and how much longer, within the time the law allows.
Checking it's you. We usually confirm a request by replying to the email address we already hold. We ask only for what we need to do that.
Asking for someone else. An authorized agent can make a request for you. We'll ask for proof of their authority and may confirm your identity with you directly.
No penalty. Using these rights doesn't change how we treat you.
Appeals. If we decline a request, we'll say why. You can appeal by replying to that decision, and we'll answer the appeal within 45 days. If we decline it, you can contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. This site does neither, and with the signal on, Google Analytics doesn't load.
