The lead exists before the form is finished.
Ghost Intake gives your WordPress site a short contact step and six questions answered with a tap. Each answer is saved as it's tapped, and Lead Docket gets the record at the first one.

Where a one-page form loses people
A typical law firm form sends nothing until the last button. Anyone who quits halfway leaves no record, and nobody calls them. Shorten the form, and the callback starts with a name and a number.

A short contact step
A name, phone number, email and a required consent box, inline on a page or in a pop-up any button can open.
When the visitor presses Continue, their details and consent are saved before the next screen loads. Someone who leaves contact details and answers nothing still reaches Lead Docket, about a minute later. Each firm sets its own questions and wording.

ContinueSix questions, one tap each
They cover what happened, when, medical treatment, any report, whether they've spoken to an insurer and whether they've missed work.
People stop partway through intake forms, so every tap is saved as it happens. Picking "Something else" opens more case types and "I'm not sure". Nobody is forced into the wrong box. The Funnel view on your dashboard shows which question people stop on.
Per step
The record at question one
The first answer sets the case type, and Lead Docket usually has the record within seconds, while the visitor is still answering.
It carries the usual web-lead fields, plus the ad, search or page that first brought the person in. Lead Docket's own alert for a web lead goes out as usual. With your ad spend and the status your team sets at signing, a CMO can count cost per signed case by channel.
| Time after the contact step | Event |
|---|---|
| +0:00 | contact step sent |
| +0:04 | questions opened |
| +0:15 | Lead Docket record created |
| +1:29 | transcript written |
| +2:07 | transcript in the record's notes |
| +2:09 | notification email sent |
A transcript about a minute after they stop
Ghost Intake wraps up the lead when the visitor answers the last question, or after a minute without a tap.
The plain-English transcript then goes into the record's notes on the next delivery run. Its first line is one of four fixed labels, such as "Answered 4 of 6 questions, then stopped." The label depends only on how far the person got and whether the questions loaded. There's no AI in it, and it doesn't score leads.
If the visitor comes back and answers more, a second transcript is added below the first.
The dashboard
Whoever runs intake also gets a dashboard on a subdomain of your site, behind a sign-in your firm controls. It reads the same database the form writes to.
It doesn't refresh itself: reload it to see leads that came in since you opened it. It's for reading and deleting leads. Status, assignment and notes stay in Lead Docket.
Leads
- never opened: The form was sent but the questions never loaded in a browser. The usual sign of a bot.
- duplicate: Same phone number as a lead in the last 30 days. Linked and flagged; both leads stay.
- unsettled: Still answering, or under a minute since the last tap.
- Leads
- Every lead, with how far they got, case type, page, source and flags
- Lead detail
- Where one person came from, each answer, and what was sent to Lead Docket
- Funnel
- For each question, how many people reached it, answered it and stopped there
- Pages
- Views, starts and leads for each page
- Sources
- Leads by source and campaign, with Google Ads, Bing Ads and Facebook or Instagram counted separately
- Audit
- Who opened or deleted which lead
How it treats your prospects
- Bot checks run out of sight
- An invisible challenge, a hidden field, a minimum time on the form and rate limits, on every submit. Nobody solves a puzzle.
- Likely bots are labeled, not hidden
- Simple scripts post the contact form and stop, so a submission whose questions never load is labeled "could be a bot". A person who closes the tab at that point gets the same label. Labeled leads still reach Lead Docket, sometimes before the label does. Whether your answering service skips them is your instruction to them.
- Repeats are linked, not removed
- A second inquiry from the same phone number within 30 days is flagged on the dashboard and linked to the first. Each gets its own Lead Docket record.
- The consent wording is kept word for word
- The exact wording each person agreed to is stored with the lead, with the time. Your firm approves the wording at installation, and earlier leads keep the version they saw.
- It never emails a prospect
- Both the email service and the code check every recipient against an allow-list.
- Our code tells Google only that a step was reached
- It never sends answers or contact details. Tags your firm already runs can read form fields on their own, so we review them at installation.
- The last screen judges nothing
- Everyone who finishes sees the same message, with your phone number to tap.
These are design choices. Whether they meet your consent and advertising rules is your firm's call.
One installation per firm
There's no sign-up page. We set up one installation for your firm. No other firm's leads share its database.

Questions about Ghost Intake
Does it replace our intake team or answering service?
No. It puts the answers on the Lead Docket record, even from people who stop early. People still make the call and decide whether to take the matter.
Won't more questions make people quit?
Yes, some do. By then their contact details are saved and the record is on its way to Lead Docket. Stopping costs you the remaining answers, not the lead. The Funnel view shows which question they stop on.
Can we change the questions?
Yes. Questions are a setting: tell us the change, and it goes live without touching the code. Past leads keep the wording they saw. Another area of law gets its own question set, written with you.
What if Lead Docket or the bot check is down?
The lead stays in your database either way. Deliveries Lead Docket doesn't accept are retried after 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 minutes, and we're alerted if they still fail. If the bot check is down, leads are still accepted and marked unchecked. See how failures are handled.
What does it cost?
We don't list prices here. We quote each installation after a demo, once we've seen your site and your Lead Docket setup.

On a demo, we walk you through one test lead, from the first tap to the transcript in the notes. Bring whoever runs your intake.
